This edition is based on the original autograph score (1) and a set of handwritten instrumental parts (2) transcribed by Brun’s fellow student and friend Hermann Wilhelm Draber. An additional set of parts (3) by an unknown hand was only sporadically consulted.

The present publication is intended for performing purposes. Obvious, or clerical mistakes have been corrected; contradictions between score and parts have been marked with square brackets or dashed lines. …
