The autograph of this work (called in here OMS), including its sketches, are deposited at the manuscript collection of the Paul Sacher Archive and Research Center in Basle (Switzerland). In the Fritz Brun Estate Collection at the Music Department of the Zurich Central Library, are deposited a reproduction of the transcript (called in here AMS) of the score and its separate solo part by an unknown copyist. They were supposedly prepared for the sonata’s premier performance. As a result of this new edition, they presently both lose relevance – although, in some isolated cases, they were helpful in the case of additional tempo indications and to clear up some doubtful passages.
At the Zurich Central Library one can also find a reel tape recording of a performance of the sonata by the abovementioned soloists, which was broadcast by the Swiss Radio on 10 December 1953. …
